BioThere was the passive countenance of Julian, dark hair hanging long, blue eyes containing neither passion nor compassion. He was dressed completely in scaled white armour, not silver or metallic-coloured, but looking as if it had been enameled. He was the man I had beaten at his favourite game, for which he had thrown a glass of wine at me. I knew him and I hated him.

Julian is one of the nine Princes of Amber, the one real world. As a member of the royal family he has the ability to manipulate Shadows i.e. he can move from world to world, step between universes at will as every other dimension is but a shadow of Amber.
He's tall, with long dark hair and blue eyes. Like the rest of the family, he's intelligent and wily, skilled in the power plays that come as being one of Oberon's children. He gets on well with his sister Fiona and his brother Caine but those two aside, he would probably kill any of his other brothers or sisters without remorse.
He is immortal, supernaturally strong, and wears enamelled white armour that can deflect bullets. He is cold and cruel, distant and hard to read, with a tendency to speak slowly and be completely calm and impassive - at least with members of his family.
Julian is the Warden of Arden and is virtually a permanent fixture there, not spending a lot of time in Shadow as some of his siblings do. He is the only one who knows the Forest's secrets and the place is never unpatrolled by his men. Arden lies on the road to Amber and must be protected at all times - Julian leads all those that patrol the forest. He divides his time between Arden and Amber but the only time he really seems to enjoy himself is when he is in his element - hunting for creatures, people or brothers.
He is a master hunter and rides an enormous horse called Morgenstern that he created himself out of Shadows, 'fusing into the beast the strength and speed of a hurricane and a pile driver'. Morgenstern can catch up and overtake a car doing 75mph; Julian will have him with him in Milliways on occasion. It is said that it will take a silver bullet to kill the beast. Julian also hunts with a huge pack of large braying dogs called Storm Hounds, and a great hawk coloured black and green.
He'll be coming to the bar approximately three hundred years before the events of the Chronicles of Amber.
